Qualifications: Bachelor of Nursing; Graduate certificates in newborn special & intensive care and Teaching & assessing in clinical practice.  Newborn Behaviour Observations (NBO) certified clinician; Family and Infant Neurodevelopmental Education (FINE 1) trained; Fully accredited independent assessor in Bayley-4 (ANZ) scales of infant and toddler development.

Meg is an experienced paediatric and neonatal nurse with a special interest in newborn and early childhood development. Meg’s private practice at Adelaide Paediatrics is focused on optimal support for babies and parents during infancy and the early childhood years through the provision of high-quality care that is connected, evidence based, individualised, and relationship-focused.

Meg’s extensive clinical acumen is built on a foundation of more than 25 years caring for families with term & preterm babies and children in Melbourne, London and Adelaide; including over a decade as an integral member of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Neonatal Growth & Development Program’s multi-disciplinary team. Meg has two first author publications arising from original research conducted during PhD candidature that explored parent developmental literacy education & support to optimise early child development.

With this expertise, Meg provides 1:1 tailored guidance to help parents better understand and respond to their new baby’s unique behavioural communication cues, and to assess their young child’s progress towards attaining age-appropriate developmental milestones.     

In her private practice at Adelaide Paediatrics Ashford location, Meg conducts 1:1 shared newborn behavioural observation (NBO) sessions for families with babies in the first 3 months of life, and formal developmental assessments (Bayley-4) for children 12 – 42 months of age.
