Born and raised in Adelaide, Ellen graduated from Flinders University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Clinical Science (BClinSc) and Doctor of Medicine (MD). While working in hospitals across Adelaide she completed the Sydney Child Health Program (SCHP, previously DCH) and developed an interest in paediatrics and women's health. She obtained fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2022, and continued to work in a variety of roles including general practice and urgent care.

Ellen brings a personal understanding to the challenges sometimes encountered on the journey to parenthood, or welcoming a new family member who requires specialised care after birth. Her goal is to empower families during the early, and sometimes difficult, days by providing them with the support and resources they need to flourish.

After becoming a new mum recently, the values of the Possums Program really resonated with Ellen. She has commenced training to become a Neuroprotective Developmental Care Practitioner, which offers evidence-based guidance for breastfeeding and feeding difficulties, sleep issues, infant development and sensory needs and promotes parental psychological wellbeing.

Outside of work Ellen enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and kelpie, Koda. She loves camping across Australia - the more stars you can see the better!

Ellen consults in her private practice at Adelaide Paediatrics Morphett Vale location, where she is available to support and empower families through the early and sometimes difficult challenges on their journey into parenthood.
